These lakes in the Himalayas are situated in Listi V.D.C. close to the Tibetan border. This Kund (lake) is one of the sacred pilgrimage sites for Shamans.
Both Hindu and Buddhist devotees visit this high-elevated holy mountain lake to pay their homage and take a bath during every Bhadra (August) Full Moon. The trekking experience is further enhanced by the spectacular view of the Himalayan peaks, such as the Dorje Lhakpa (6966 m).
The trek starts from The Phulping and follow the old trade route between Nepal and Tibet.
Itinearary:
Day 1. Drive from Kathmandu to Phuling Trek to Duganagadi Fortress (2400m.), a maze of crumbling walls strategically situated on a plateau with stunning views of the surrounding areas.
Day 2. Phunboche Dada (3800 m), a dense lush forest cloaked with old twisted tree-trunks that are draped in moss and surrounded by numerous species of ferns and other assorted flora. In the spring, the countryside comes alive with red and white rhododendrons in full bloom.
Day 3. Chormu Kharka (4010m) there is no houses.
Day 4. Rest day
Day 5. Bhairav Kund Lake (4300 m), one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Shamans and our ultimate destination. From the pass the views of the Himalayas are up-close and spectacular - at 6,966m Dorje Lakpa resembles an inverted shark tooth looming in the distance.

Day 7. Chormu Pati (3920m)
Day 8. Chagam (2200 m). One of the highlights of the trek is an all women's monastery housing some 300 nuns. Some travel from as far away as Ladakh in order to spend time, learn and meditate here. The layout of the village is unusual in that each nun has her own house, thus creating a colourful spattering of red, yellow, green and white homes throughout the beautiful countryside.
Day 9. Rest day
Day 10. Listi (2180 m.), a charming village over looking the Bhote .Kosi River with stunning views of the surrounding areas. Drive to Kathmandu over night Hotel tibet.
